Professional Bio
Dr. Joseph S. Furse is an Assistant Professor of Technology & Engineering Education in the Department of Applied Sciences, Technology, and Education at Utah State University in Logan, Utah. He is the program leader for the undergraduate Technology & Engineering Education program and also teaches and mentors graduate students in Career & Technical Education. He holds a BS in Technology and Engineering Education and a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction (specializing in Career & Technical Education) from Utah State University. Prior to becoming a faculty member at Utah State University, Joseph taught Technology Education at Desert Hills Middle School in St. George, Utah. His current research interests primarily involve the recruitment, preparation, and retention of the CTE teaching workforce.
