What is the ATI?
ITEEA’s Authorized Training Institute (ATI) develops T&E leaders to become certified Authorized Teacher Effectiveness Coaches (ATECs) in Engineering byDesign course(s).

Who Should Attend?
Current or aspiring Technology and Engineering (T&E) leaders.

When is the next ATI?
Friday, May 31, 2024 from 6:00pm–8:30pm EDT
Saturday, June 1, 2024 from 8:30am–4:30pm EDT
Sunday, June 2, 2024 from 8:30am–12:30pm EDT

Why attend?
To professionally grow in the STEM field, to be a leader in professional development for teachers, and to access further paid training opportunities as an ATEC with ITEEA. Potentially earn 3 graduate credits from St. Cloud State University.

Learn to train other teachers in up to three of the following courses:

  • Onshape Associates Certification Course NEW
  • EbD TEEMS PreK-5 Coding by Design
  • Exploring Technology (6th grade)
  • Invention and Innovation (7th grade)
  • Technological Systems *REVISED* (8th grade)
  • Engineering for All - Vertical Farms: Fresh Food for Cities (6-8) and Engineering Water: The World in Crisis (6-8)
  • Foundations of Technology and Engineering 9th grade)
  • Technological Design *RE-WRITTEN* (10-12)
  • Advanced Design Applications (11-12)
  • Advanced Technological Applications (11-12)
  • Engineering Design (Capstone) (11-12)

Consortium States Fee: The Virtual ATI cost is $1,100 ($1,000 for early birds, until April 15, 2024) to train in one course. One individual may train in two courses for $1995 or one individual may train in three courses for $2495.00.

Non-Consortium States Fee: The Virtual ATI cost is $2,495 to train in one course. One individual may train in two courses for $3,470 or one individual may train in three courses for $4,370.

Please note: ATECs are required to intern at a four-day Summer Institute for each course ATI, or otherwise specified internship as suggested by the STEM Center for Teaching and Learning. The travel costs associated with the internship is the responsibility of the intern.

Those who complete the training will receive 24 hours of professional development that can be used for certification, can claim three graduate credits, and may be eligible to present on behalf of STEM CTL at the ITEEA Conference or at other future paid opportunities.
