ITEEA’s STEM Center for Teaching and Learning™ (STEM CTL) annually recognizes outstanding schools for their commitment to providing a robust Integrative experience through the STEM School of Excellence Recognition Program. This special designation was created to celebrate those schools whose teachers, administrators, and other stakeholders are providing a meaningful STEM education experience for students and to inspire others to learn effective best practices and instructional strategies to enhance their own programs.
All K-12 schools, Colleges, and Universities are eligible to apply!
Applicants must complete a rigorous application with detailed documentation to demonstrate a strong Integrative STEM program, which is then reviewed by a panel of peers. Following review, schools may be awarded one of the following levels of recognition:
- ITEEA STEM School of Excellence (200+ points)
- ITEEA STEM School of Merit (170-199 points)
2023-2024 STEM School of Excellence Applications are due by Friday, December 8, 2023*
*Please note the earlier deadline this year, to accommodate earlier 2024 Conference dates.
Application Fees:
- ITEEA member schools: $195.00
- Non-member schools: $295.00
Award recipients will be recognized at the 2024 ITEEA Annual Conference in Memphis, TN on March 6-9, 2024. Both ITEEA STEM Schools of Excellence and Merit are awarded with a certificate, while STEM Schools of Excellence also receive a banner for proud display.
