Driving Directions to the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center

Washington, DC is conveniently located 200 miles south of New York right on I-95/I-495. If travelling to National Harbor from Virginia via the Woodrow Wilson Bridge, please follow the signs that indicate "Local Lanes." Parking is available at the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center for a discounted price. Rental cars are also available through Hertz near the Woodrow Wilson Ballroom entrance.

Taking the Train Into DC

Union Station in Washington D.C. (WAS) and Union Station Alexandria (ALX) are the closest Amtrak Stations to Gaylord National. Taxi service is available via the taxi stand outside Baggage Claim/Union Station. Please specify Maryland to the taxi agent so they locate the appropriate taxi.

• Taxi fare from train station to National Harbor is approximately $40 each way
• Amtrak station in Alexandria, VA is just 5 miles from National Harbor
• Taxi fare from train station is approximately $20 each way
• Shuttle services reservations through Super Shuttle must be made in advance.

Flying Into DC Area

Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport
• Just 8 miles from National Harbor
• DCA serves over 20 million passengers annually.
• Taxi fare from airport to National Harbor is approximately $25 each way
• Shuttle services reservations through Super Shuttle must be made in advance.

Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport
• Just 42 miles from National Harbor
• BWI serves over 22 million passengers annually.
• Taxi fare from airport to National Harbor is approximately $70 each way
•• Shuttle services reservations through Super Shuttle must be made in advance.

Washington Dulles International Airport
• Just 35 miles from National Harbor
• IAD serves over 21 million passengers annually.
• Taxi fare from airport to National Harbor is approximately $70 each way
• Shuttle services reservations through Super Shuttle must be made in advance.

Getting Around Town – Easy and Convenient

National Harbor is located just 10 miles south of Washington DC and is accessible by car, public transportation (bus) and water taxi.

Water Taxi
The Potomac Riverboat Company runs seven days a week between the historic seaport of Old Town Alexandria and the striking new community of National Harbor, MD. One way tickets are $8 and round trip tickets are $16. Travel time each way is approximately 20 minutes.

Public Transportation
If travelling via metro, take the green line to Branch Ave to the NH1 bus. The bus drops off approximately 1 block from the Gaylord National.
